From his role in the Anschluss of Austria to his rule as Reich Commissioner of the Netherlands, Arthur Seyss-Inquart became one of the key enforcers of Nazi occupation policies in Europe.
A lawyer turned dictator, he oversaw mass deportations, forced labor, and the persecution of Dutch Jews.
Under his authority, more than 100,000 Dutch Jews were sent to their deaths in extermination camps such as Auschwitz and Sobibor.
Known for his administrative precision and loyalty to Hitler, he helped transform Nazi ideology into government action.
But when the war ended, the man who once governed in Hitler’s name finally faced the judgment of history.
