10 July 1940. The Battle of Britain begins as Nazi Germany launches a massive air campaign against the United Kingdom. While the Royal Air Force resists and the nation stands defiant, one man takes a very different path.
John Amery, born into a prominent British upper-class family and the son of a senior politician, turns against his country and embraces fascism. In Berlin, he becomes a Nazi propagandist, urging Britons to support Hitler and even attempting to recruit prisoners of war into a pro-German unit.
As the war turns, Amery is captured and returned to Britain. In a dramatic conclusion, he pleads guilty to treason on the first day of his trial.
This is the story of John Amery — and the consequences of betrayal.
