Eva Braun's Sister Who Married a Nazi General & Mass Murderer: Gretl Braun
13m
Explore the life of Gretl Braun, the younger sister of Eva Braun, who became part of Adolf Hitler's inner circle and married SS General Hermann Fegelein in June 1944, just days before the Allied landings in Normandy. It follows her years at the Berghof, her relationship with Hitler and the Nazi elite, her lavish wedding attended by Hitler, Heinrich Himmler, and Martin Bormann, and Fegelein's role in mass killings carried out by SS cavalry units in Eastern Europe. It also examines the dramatic final days of the Third Reich, Fegelein's execution on Hitler's orders, Eva Braun's last letter to her sister, Gretl's post-war life, and the hidden archive of Eva Braun's photographs and personal correspondence later recovered by American intelligence.
