From the Siege of Odessa to the Battle of Sevastopol, she eliminates 309 enemy soldiers, earning fear and respect from both sides. The Germans call her “Lady Death.”
After being wounded, she tours the United States, meeting Eleanor Roosevelt and calling on the Allies to open a second front.
Decorated as a Hero of the Soviet Union, Pavlichenko remains a legend — a woman who proved that courage knows no gender and that one rifle in the right hands can change history.
