15 March 1939. Prague falls under German occupation, and Czechoslovakia ceases to exist. While many Czech airmen flee abroad to continue the fight, one pilot takes a darker path.
Augustin Přeučil joins exile forces and later the Royal Air Force (RAF) in Britain — the United Kingdom’s air force, where Czechoslovak pilots fight Nazi Germany. But he is secretly a Gestapo agent, gathering intelligence from within.
In 1941, he deserts during a training flight and lands in occupied territory, betraying civilians who try to help him — leading to their execution. He then continues working for the Gestapo, spying on resistance members and extracting information.
After the war, his true role is exposed. Arrested in Prague, he is tried for treason and espionage, and his reckoning comes in 1947.
