Nazi Propaganda Speech – Berlin, Germany – 1 April 1933.
Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Germany’s Minister of Propaganda, delivers a speech during the launch of the Nazi regime’s official antisemitic boycott campaign targeting Jewish businesses, shops, and professionals across Germany.
On 1 April 1933, the Nazi Party organised a nationwide boycott of Jewish-owned businesses, marking one of the first major state-supported campaigns of antisemitic persecution following Adolf Hitler’s rise to power. Goebbels played a central role in organising and promoting the campaign through Nazi propaganda.
The boycott marked an early stage in the systematic discrimination and persecution of Jewish people under the Nazi regime, which would ultimately culminate in the Holocaust.
